Divisional Playoff Picks

The Saints will outrace the Cardinals, especially without Anquan Boldin.
Indianapolis is too strong to falter in Baltimore’s defensive mire.
The Vikings defense will slow down Tony Romo’s air attack when they sack him every other play.
San Diego is just plain better than the Jets.

SportsHuman Picks Week 16

Ok, so this is less of a set of a picks and more of a statement that THR has been on holiday hiatus. As such, we didn’t pick a winner for 15 of the 16 games this week. We will, however, tell you that we think that we have a prediction for tonight’s game… so at least it’s something.
Vikings over Bears
Pretty uninspired work this week. Our apologies.

SportsHuman Picks Week 14

Half of the big matchups this week come from the NFC East… Giants-Eagles and Chargers-Cowboys. Cincy-Minny rounds out a solid week for playoff contention games, and it will be interesting to see if the Vikes can bounce back after last week, or whether Cedric Benson can come back and reclaim his place in the top 3 RBs of the year.

SportsHuman Picks Week 13

Don’t look now but we’ve been doing pretty well lately… This will be an interesting week with the hot Titans facing a Colts team that has been VERY narrowly winning its most recent games, a Vikings-Cardinals game that will test both defenses, and a great Monday night matchup between the threshold teams of the Packers and Ravens…
Eagles over Falcons
Bears over Rams
Bengals over Lions

SportsHuman Picks Week 12

3 Thursday games means 6 opponents go unmentioned in our weekly picks–sorry that we don’t do this until the end of the week. Maybe one day we’ll start picking on Thursday morning? Until then, just enjoy the rest of the calls. We had a pretty strong selection last week, so hopefully we can continue to be successful here.

Dolphins over Bills

SportsHuman Picks Week 11

More picks for you… Now that we have an established theme of doing picks every weekend, we’ll keep track of what we’ve done so far, and how we’ve been doing (not well enough yet!). At some point, we might start picking before the Thursday game. For now, we’ll just let you watch that one yourself. Without further ado…

Cowboys over Redskins

Lions over Browns

This is the first time we have done this, so call it a test run–but don’t think that means we aren’t sincere. In the future, we’ll give some insights and some more in-depth looks at each game. For the inaugural Picks though, we’ll give you a little bit of here and there and then cut straight to the chase.

The Yankees Win; Philadelphia Loses

The “Why” of last night that you won’t hear from a Charlie-Manuel-loving sports media
The formidable lineup of Derek Jeter, Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez, and, apparently, Hideki Matsui slugged their way to another World Series trophy last night with apparent ease against a meek Phillies team that didn’t seem equipped to put up a fight. Too much power in the batter’s box for the Yankees, and too much movement coming off the mound for the Phightin’s to handle. Or so it seemed. But don’t those Phillies have Chase Utley? Ryan Howard? …
