NFL Power Rankings: Week 9, 2009

4 November 2009 1,648 views One Comment

At the half-way mark for the NFL season… Here are your 2009 Power Rankings, Week 9. At some point, we will comment in a more in-depth manner for each decision, but for now, we’ll just tackle some of the bigger points in the intro…

The Saints’ defense is unworthy of the number 1 spot. Darren Sharper could probably singlehandedly stop the Kansas City Chiefs, but the rest of that D needs to wake up if they want to beat Indy in the Super Bowl that everyone thinks they’ll be playing in.

The Vikes’ defensive line has made Favre’s return a breeze. And before you remind me that the Broncos beat the Patriots… I know. I also know that if they played them ten times, that might happen twice, three if they were lucky. It’s time for Denver to regress back to that team that they really are, the one that should have lost to the Bengals. Speaking of which, I’ll say the same thing about the way I have the Steelers and Bengals.
